Phoenix Rising twist pen - Snakewood
The story of the phoenix has roots in many ancient civilizations- most notably the Egyptian and Greek. Every 1,000 years, the phoenix builds itself a nest, which burns fiercely until they are both reduced to ashes. From the ashes a young phoenix appears, renewing the life cycle of the bird and making the phoenix virtually immortal and invincible. This pen captures this story, from the flames bursting at the tip, to the rising phoenix with its tail rendered in the clip. Amber crystals on the clip and cap add to the majesty of this regal creature.
Snakewood, so named due to the grain pattern resembling a snakeskin, is a rare wood and is among the most precious of exotic hardwoods. It is also called Letterwood due to the patterns sometimes resembling Egyptian hieroglyphics. It is among the densest and hardest woods in the world. Though it is rare, snakewood - like all woods in our products - is not a threatened or endangered species, and this wood has been responsibly harvested.
